I've had 2 Charge 5 in less than 10 months. The second ran out of charge 2 weeks ago and will not charge up. I've bought a new charger in case, no help. The watch is dead. It has not been damaged, dropped or anything. Just goes from my wrist to charger. (I have a number of serious health conditions and use it daily to check sleep patterns, heart rate and steps).

Contact fitbit support, this is most likely related to the bad firmware update.
