The screen on my Charge 5 has stopped responding when it isn't plugged
in to the charger. I am extremely disappointed, as this was already my
replacement fitbit. I originally had a Charge 3 that only lasted about
2 and a half years, and when it stopped working properly I got a
discount on a new one, which was okay with me because I thought the
new one would last. Now the Charge 5 is doing almost the same thing
not even 2 and a half years after I got it. I find this frustrating
since my brother has a Charge 2 that has continued to work, which
indicates I should have had a longer lifetime on my Charge 3 and never
had to buy a Charge 5. Now, even after spending money on the Charge 5,
it's happening all over again. My Charge 5 will charge and can connect
to my phone app, but once it isn't connected to the charger the screen
doesn't respond and I can't see anything; no time, no steps, no heart
rate, nothing. I tried restarting the fitbit many times and
reconnecting the app, and it continues to fail. I don't understand why
the product is showing such a horrible lifespan. I should have a
product that works, especially after paying twice.

I honestly wonder if something is going on with Fitbit since the same thing is going on within mine right now.

My Charge 5 did the same thing! Wasn’t syncing right yesterday with the app and I tried everything they suggested. And now my Fitbit is black.
It’s a great business model for them! Make everyone replace their device every few years.

I am having exactly the same problem. Mine is also a replacement for a charge 3 which I had replaced 3 time under the warranty.
