I have a Luxe and I love how small
it is. It does everything I personally need. However, as others have found (see these forums!), the only straps which stay securely connected are the silicone ones it comes with. Even the official fitbit, very expensive, metal bracelet continually disconnects so the the alternative suppliers have no chance. As I regularly get allergic reactions to wearing silicone bands, this is a big problem
I was thinking of getting a charge 5 even though it’s much bulkier than the luxe, if it resolves this problem, as there’s no point in a watch/tracker that I can’t wear. Looking at it though, the clips on the Charge 5 look the same as on the Luxe. Flippy little plastic things that can’t hold the metal clips in place
Can anyone who has the Charge 5 confirm exactly what the strap clips look like and how good they are at holding after market straps in place?

Hi @TwixPanther - The Charge 5 is my current favorite. I cannot speak to how well after market straps work on this device, but I can tell you that I also, prefer not to wear the silicone bands. I got the hook & loop band from Fitbit and find it very light and comfortable. It has stayed securely in place for months. For what it’s worth, I also had problems with third party bands staying connected to my Luxe. That’s why with the charge 5, I opted to stay with an official Fitbit band. This band is on sale now.
Here is a picture of the connectors. Still plastic on the band connector but it stays in place.
Edit: I just realized Fitbit sells a woven band for the Luxe. that may be an option for you.
