Charge 5 stuck in reboot loop, restart not working

My charge 5 is currently USB plugged in and I have restarted it several times over the space of a few days. It is fully cleaned. I have had it less than a year. I have had previous models and never encountered this issue.

I have tried remedies from the forums and Youtube help videos. It seems to be a big issue with the charge 5’s.

I am wondering what else can I attempt before requesting redress?

I was able to get through to customer support by going through the app (when I had clicked the online chat through the website it kept failing and the phone number I called ran out).

After chatting with the helpful support team they have requested I send it back and will send out a replacement. I had to send them on several pictures of the Fitbit, charger, and power source. They asked several questions.
It had also gotten very hot while charging.
Hope this is helpful for someone else in the future if needed!

Hi, @filang, welcome to the community, have you checked your USB socket is live and working (try charging something else on it) Fitbit Charge 5: Screen is Unresponsive, Frozen, Stuck? Fixed! - YouTube demonstrates a restart using the charging cable.

Let us know how you get on.

Hi @Gr4ndp4 , thank you for the reply!

Yes the socket is live and working.
The restart’s I have attempted are all the type using the charging cable as I can’t get into the home screen on the watch. I attempted that method (one shown in video link) again and still not working unfortunately.
All the best,

Grace
