Charge 5 stuck on the Fitbit logo

My Charge 5 will not turn or sync. It doesn't have a blank screen, it has the logo showing.

I have tried letting it die then recharging it, as well as have tried resetting it with the button on the charging cable while plugged in multiple times across multiple days.

It won't sync either so it's as if it's off, but the logo screen is continuously on until it dies.

Mine just started that same thing tonight. I don’t have a solution, but wanted you to know that it’s happening to me too. I also restarted from the chargers flat button numerous times. After reading more of the entries, it sounds like it’s happening to many people, and there is no solution.

I also got a red circle with an X on the screen. Will call Fitbit tomorrow if I have a chance

Same here, my Fitbit charge 5 just started this too, this morning. I don’t have a solution either, sorry. I have tried multiple times to restart the device with the charger, but nothing happens. Also can’t get it to sync either.

And like the other comment here, after reading, it seems quite a few people are having the same problem. It’s very frustrating.

Hello @Femme2 , @Trisheeey8 , @M4DD13

It sounds like you've all tried the recommended troubleshooting without success.

There's an unconventional method that one user tried which restored their Charge 5 by exposing their device to freezer temps. Here's a link to the thread (<-- click link) where they described what they did. Although there's no guarantee that this will work for you, it might be worth a try.

If that doesn't work, the next step is to contact Support (<-- click link). Complete the prompts until you get the option to chat or call.

Depending on how long you've have your Charge 5, you might have some options under warranty.

Thanks!  I tried the freezer method but it didn't work. I ended up buying a Charge 6 last week.  Thank you for your input!

@Talahthas @MarreFitbit @JonFitbit @DHFitbit With countless posts this week of Charge 5 users having the same issue all of a sudden, I would think that the latest update has caused this issue.

My Charge 5 was working, I took it off to hop in the shower, then I put it back on only to see a black screen. I put it on the charger and it showed the Fitbit logo for about 10 seconds, then black screen for about 2 seconds, then repeats.

I've let it die. Left is "dead" for 2 days. Put it on charger and same issue. The cable reset does nothing but vibrate the Charge 5.
