Hi there, @madzwb. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Charge 5 before reaching out.
Please keep in mind that your Fitbit device may show an incorrect time if it hasn't synced or has been unpaired from your Fitbit account. Your Fitbit device uses the time of the device you're syncing with. To make sure your watch has recently synced, go to your Fitbit account, tap the Today tab > your profile picture > your device image.
If by any chance you are running into syncing issues, see Why won't my Fitbit device sync? or if you need to relink your watch, see How do I set up my Fitbit device?
If none of the above works for your, I'd recommend trying the steps below:
With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Charge 5 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

I tried all the above, and it doesn't help in any shape or form.

Hi, @Vlada & @madzwb, may I suggest you check your Fitbit app in your mobile phone settings? I recommend you check the Fitbit app on your phone (you do not mention the make or model of your phone) on an Android phone you should open the phone settings>apps>Fitbit>permissions, allow all>storage & cache, clear cache>Mobile data & WiFi, allow background data & unrestricted data usage, check you have enough credit in your cellphone data account>battery usage, unrestricted>pause app activity if unused "Off". This last is because some phones treat the Fitbit app as non-essential while we need it to run constantly in the background. Return to the Fitbit app Today screen & sync.

Charge 5 with Android phone.
Your option did not work to update the time on my fitbit. I was traveling from Eastern time to Pacific on 5/31/23. I had a layover in Central time, and it adjusted to Central time. Upon arrival in Pacific time zone, it did not update. I searched the help and tried numerous options with no luck. Returned home last night, and it did not update to Eastern.
Searched for options online and tried this one again with no luck. I then went to the Google Playstore and there was an update for the Fitbit app. Once updated and opened, my Charge 5 synced again and updated to Eastern time.

Check for an update of the app. It worked for me once resynced after the update.
