For background context I bought my Fitbit in December of 2022. Then during the summer of 2023, the screen became unresponsive and I got a replacement, which has been fine till it became unresponsive after very little time in the pool.
I’ve been traveling and a few days ago I accidentally entered a pool with my Fitbit on. I realized quickly after that I still had it on. That was within a few minutes maybe 5 min at max fully in the water. I then put it in rice and about 24 hours later it was working like normal after a bit of charging.
Then the forgetful person I am, I walked into the pool again 2 days ago this time I barely entered the water fully before I realized I had my Fitbit still on. Like it was probably in the water fully 1 min max. Obviously I jumped out of the water and went to go dry it off. I didn’t have access to any rice but the air conditioning was running and so I left it out in the open after wiping the excess water off the sides and removing the bands, to let the air dry out the Fitbit. It’s been around 2 full days. I would imagine since it spent less time in the water it might work again and turn on or something without the need of rice. To add on previously, every time I showered I never took it off and that normally took more than 5min under the water and it always turned back on. But now it’s completely unresponsive. No vibration when connected to the charger, no light on the back glowing, it won’t restart at all when I restart by pressing the button on the cable and it won’t sink to my phone. I’m not sure if there is anything that can be done before I look for trying to get a new one or trying to get a replacement of the same model.
