Charge 5 urresponsive screen

After chatting with Fitbit support yesterday,  I was finally able to get it to charge. They suggested cleaning the device itself with water and a toothbrush,  and the charger with a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol. It's now tracking steps/zone minutes,  etc on the app. Now the only issue is I have an unresponsive screen. I've done the restart pressing the button by the usb plug, but the screen only stays on long enough to show the logo. Any other suggestions?

Hi, i have the same issue, its tracking steps and i can sync but the screen is black. I have tried several times to restart, Logo shows then it goes dark again.

If i start the update thats available according to the app it sometimes show a progress bar but then restarts shows the logo for a few seconds and then goes black again.

I found a temp fix!! I updated the clock throug the app, then did a hard reset pressing the circle button 3 times for a second each time in 8 seconds. After that I actually saw the screen again! I went to settings on the device and restarted that was as well, to see if the screen would come back and it did! I left the device on the charger to charge to 100% and wore it to bed.The only issue I am facing now, is that it died overnight 😔. Hopefully what I did helps you out too!
