It appears that the pads on the back are scratched by the charger; Is there any fix to make it charge again or should I go shopping for something new?

My apologies if you've already reviewed & tried this information. This help page has the recommended troubleshooting steps to try when the Fitbit battery is not charging (<-- click link)

If these steps don't work, you can try contacting Support (<-- click link) about your warranty options. Complete the prompts until you get the option to chat or call.
