My charge 5 will not charge. It never charged great from the beginning. The magnetic charger never worked properly

I never had charging problems until this week. I updated my account to use my GMAIL account and now my Charge 5 is worthless. Wont hold a charge. Support offers me 50% off on a new one but NOT a Charge 6. I do not want another 5 that doesnt work. VERY VERY frustrating. I will have to buy another brand I guess? I loved my Charge 5. Wish someone could figure out how to get it working again 😞
