My Charge 5 will not charge. I have tried charging with different ports but it will not charge. I cleaned the pegs on the charger and the connections points on the watch with alcohol but it still does not charge. Is it possible that the connection points on the watch can be scratched and therefore not properly connect to the charger? Please help because my watch just showing a black and unresponsive screen. Thanks!

Hi there, @Cookycolombian. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 is still not charging. I understand where your concern is coming from, I will do my best to help you with this!
As a first approach, please note that sometimes a Fitbit doesn’t seem to be charging when actually the issue is that it has become unresponsive (this can happen if the battery has been allowed to discharge completely). I'd recommend putting it on to charge on a charging wire and outlet known to be working. Leave it on the charger for a good two hours, even if it doesn’t seem to be charging.
When it has had two hours, try restarting your Charge 5. I would recommend trying this maybe twice in a row if a first try doesn’t work.
If the above doesn't work, please see Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

Thank you for replying, however I have tried what you recommended and the screen remains black. The only thing that indicates anything is working are the blinking green light under the watch face.
Like I mentioned in my initial post, I cleaned the pegs on the charger and the connections points on the watch with alcohol but it still does not charge. Is it possible that the connection points on the watch can be scratched and therefore not properly connect to the charger?
Thanks!
