Charge 5 won't connect to GPS

My brand new charge 5 is connected to and syncs perfectly with my iPhone, I always use the phones GPS but when opening an exercise the Fitbit searches but will not connect to GPS on the phone ?

Hi @CarlwoolWelcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! 

If your iPhone's GPS works well, but you find trouble while using the Fitbit app, make sure that Allow Location Access is set to Always or All the time for the Fitbit app on your mobile To use connected or phone GPS.

For instructions, go to the Apple help article. Check that GPS is turned on for the exercise. Note that only exercises where you cover physical distance use GPS.

I found that in my phone app settings I had “precise location” switched off, switched it on and it’s perfect
