Hi,
I've had my Charge 5 for just over a year now and last evening it died. It had ~25% charge when it decided it didn't want to work anymore. Put it to charge, charged it till 50%, removed it from charge and it was completely dead. Then, put it back to charge and the indicator showed 1% again (though it was charged to 50% just a second back). Tried charging it all night, and then again in the morning to 99%, same story. The device comes on when connected to the charger, then dead the moment it's taken off.
Tried all the "fixes" on this community, from cleaning the charging points to 3 presses on the charger button and restarting the device but nothing seems to work.
What next?

Same here! I’ve had different FitBit devices over the years and Charge 5 has been a mess. It dies in 24 hours.

The moderator has edited this as "Clarified subject"... still unclear what exactly is the clarification? Anyone out there know what the solution is? Since nowhere on this forum or anywhere on the internet has the company given a clear solution to this problem.

I’ve had my charge 5 for 1 month. The first week or two, it held charge for 3-5 days. Now I need to charge it every 24 hours. So I don’t understand, Fitbit material says the battery lasts between 5-7 days and it seems like there is an attitude of “too bad, so sad” but the company should take responsibility to fix it. I have received very little help from Fitbit chats or customer service people about the issues I’ve had.
so I ask the community: is there something you have done to prolong the battery life?.
