I normally can go a week without charging. All of a sudden this week, I fully charge it and within a few hours it is dead again. I have followed instructions to reset and have turned off GPS. Now what? I bought it exactly a year ago today.

Sad to hear that your Charge 5 isn't working as expected. If you've reset your device without success and considering the fact that your Charge 5 is around 1 year old, I'd suggest contacting Fitbit support asap to get further assistance:
