Charge 5 won't keep charge

A few days again my Charge 5 suddenly lost all charge even though there was atleast 70% still showing on the same morning. It now will charge up to 99%, I then take it off charge and the screen goes black and flat as a pancake. I then put it on charge which shows 1% battery, charges up to 99% again then goes black again when taken off charge!! I don't believe I did an update but can't be totally sure but miss my Fitbit and don't know what to do now. Can anyone help?

I've seen you contacted our Support Team just right after posting here and they've already assisted you. If you have any questions regarding the outcome of your case, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team again. Since you already have a ticket open with them it'd be easier to continue the follow up on this matter with them directly.
