Charge 5 won't reset data at midnight

Something is definitely wrong with my Fitbit charge 5 , it counts my steps really well during the day , then sometime after 11 pm is suddenly adds thousands of steps instantly. Like now I was around 9000 and still walking yo reach my target it jumped up to +15,000 instantly ! I am guessing it adds yesterday's steps which is also inaccurate or don't know what's wrong with it . It is still new , got it a couple of months ago and was working well , then suddenly started messing up. I tried resetting the watch but still does the same thing. I don't know if that could be the reason but a few days ago there was an update to the app with a new interface , could that be it ? Pls help

Yes I did contact the support team and we did a few steps , my watch stopped acting weird for abt a day or two then went back to miscounting , and now after finishing my step goal , it counted back 2000 steps . Something bizarre is going on , and there is another problem is that after midnight it doesn't reset but gives me the previous days count ( sometimes less than the actual number of steps ) and doesn't reset except after 1 am. I will try contacting support again , but in the mean time if u have any solutions pls share it with me. I am guessing this miscounting problem has something to do with the new app, the midnight problem has been going on I think since the daylight saving time change
