This morning, October 4th, my Charge 5 did not recycle as of midnight, did not record overnight data, does not show charging when plugged in, and will not reset. It has the time correct, but many functions are dead! Is Fitbit having issues or is the watch looking to be replaced?

The same has happened to me this morning. I’ve sent a message to Fitbit support via Twitter as they have been helpful in the past. Now awaiting a response.

Mine died last night and hasn't charged overnight. Its definitely the fit bit and not the charger.

Me too here. Everything was working fine until morning. While running my display gave up the reason I hope is because the battery drained quickly. Then I recharged and restarted several times after which display returned but battery won't last even an hour. I am not whether it's due to lastest update because I think I received the update about a week ago and it was working perfectly till today morning. Hope Fitbit customer service fix this problem quickly.

Mine has been doing this for two weeks. Takes to support 3 times. They told me it’s my charge 5 and sent a code to use for half off a new Fitbit. Unfortunately they don’t have charge 5s in stock and not able to use on Charge 6s. Only have 30 days to use code from day it was sent. My Fitbit works a day or two then nothing comes up on screen or I get the app symbol. If I just plug it in to charger and let it go it eventually comes back for 1-2 days. This started after the upgrade so I’m pretty sure there’s something wrong there. It seems to be only the charge 5s this is happening to. I’m dealing with it until I find something better. (It’s not even 2 years old)

The software update made no difference. Back on to support told to reset my Fitbit via the watch. Lost all data. It’s now synching but no apology or reason given. Advised to synch it at least 6-8 times a day in future which is really not a resolution as my watch stopped at 22:42 last night. It records an hours sleep then gave up. I can’t be checking it is synching whilst I’m asleep! My Fitbit is only 7 months old. Not impressed at all

app updated on my phone late last night and then recorded no overnight data and nothing at all today. Have synched it numerous times and checked for any app updates again. Nothing helps. Watch is not even a year old 🙁

FitBit must be watching me cos an update just came through on AppStore. Looks to be working again but hoping it won’t be like others having repeated issues #fingerscrossed

My Charge 5 started to experience excessive battery drain for about a week then died completely this week.
