Charge 5 won't show the correct time

My Charge 5 lost about 45 minutes and I can't get the clock to display the current time.  I tried re-setting, but that did not fix it.

Hi there, @Shaylah. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Charge 5 and your time in trying to troubleshoot it before posting here.

Please keep in mind that your Fitbit device may show an incorrect time if it hasn't synced or has been unpaired from your Fitbit account. Your Fitbit device uses the time of the device you're syncing with.

If by any chance you are running into syncing issues, see Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

If none of the above works for your, I recommend changing your time zone to a completely different one, sync your device, put the correct time and sync again.

Hello @Shaylah

If you need instructions on how to change the time in the updated Fitbit app, here's how to do it.

  • On the Today page, tap your picture/icon (Android) or gear icon (iOS) in the upper right
  • Tap on Fitbit settings
  • Tap on App settings
  • On this page, you can turn off Automatic time zone and Automatic location, then select a different time zone.
  • Tap on the arrows in the upper left to return to the Today page and sync.
  • Repeat the above steps to get back to the App Settings page and turn Automatic time zone & Automatic location back on
  • Tap on the arrows in the upper left to return to the Today page & sync

Hopefully, this will correct the time on your Charge 5
