I just got a Fitbit charge 5 not even a full two weeks ago off of fb marketplace. It worked great for the first few days, but I just got back from camping and after swimming for an hour it seemed to have died, was displaying the Fitbit logo only. I got home a couple hours ago and put it on the charger. Now it won’t stop vibrating and resetting isn’t working. I saw some people on the Fitbit forum make similar reports, but I haven’t seen any way to resolve it. If it just keeps buzzing I might go crazy. I’m honestly pissed that a supposedly water resistant watch can’t handle an hour long swim. The person I bought it from said they barely used it, and seeing how there wasn’t a scratch on it and all the bands had no wear and tear, I believe them. Is there some real fix to this that I’m not seeing? Or did I just throw $50 in the trash?

Hi there, @voletco1. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your new Charge 5 stopped working. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!
If your device got wet, it’s important to take it off and dry it well before putting it back on. On the other hand, if your device has come into contact with any liquid other than fresh water, you should clean it with fresh water and a soap-free cleanser and dry it with a lint free-cloth.
If you've done the above but to no avail, I'd recommend trying the steps below:
