Phone can't pair with Charge 5

Phone can't pair with fitbit. Says I need the app but I have downloaded it.

Hi @TONROB. Welcome to the forums.

Thank you for providing the query regarding your Charge 5.

Please confirm that you are using the latest version of the Fitbit app. Please take a look at this help article: How do I use the Fitbit app?

I'd suggest following the steps below:

  • Check if by any chance your phone's Bluetooth shows the Charge 5 as a connected device. If so, please unpair/remove it.
  • Remove the Charge 5 from your Fitbit account.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Charge 5 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Charge 5.

I have done all of this and it is still stuck with the Fitbit logo flashing

Hello, my Fitbit is completely unresponsive since last night.  The screen is black.  I tried everything listed above, and also did a restart by pushing the charger cord button 3 times (which usually works when it won’t sync).
