My charge 5 was first bricked, it constantly restarted and did not work at all.
After a couple of weeks, I charged the watch, installed again the fitbit app on my Iphone and it worked.
However, swiping does not.
I restarted the watch, changed the face but no solution.

To better assist you, please make sure you've restarted your Fitbit device as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device?. If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.
On a side note, may I know if your Charge 5 is not swiping at all? Is it only swiping left/right? Up/down?

Dear Marre,
I restarted the watch and changed the clock face.
This did not bring anything.
The watch does not respond to swiping in all directions, however tapping works.
