@Maarten22 Welcome to the Fitbit community!

Sad to hear that your Charge 5 isn't working as expected. The best thing to do if your Charge 5 is unresponsive or doesn't sync to the Fitbit app is restarting your device following these instructions:

1.) Connect your Charge 5 to the charging cable which has to be connected to a power source.

2.) Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times within 8 seconds, holding each press for about 1 second.

3.) Wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.

As there are other factors that could be related to your issue though, any feedback would be appreciated.

I do not shower with it on, it has not been dropped nor has it been exposed to any extreme temps.

Where is this “button” on the back of the charger? The only thing on the back of my charger is the Fitbit logo. There is no button ???

After restarting my charge 5 by pressing the charging cable 3 times it’s syncing again. Restarting by using the settings app didn’t work. Hopefully it will continue to function.

It's on the USB part of the cable. This isn't clear in any of the instructions and took me a while to figure out.

The 'best answer' here is wrong. The latest Android update has nuked the Bluetooth stack on Samsung devices. The typical way to fix this as listed makes no difference. Check the other threads. We need clarity from Samsung and Fitbit about what the are going to do to resolve this because currently charge 5 is a brick.

My fitbit synced 12/16/22 for the first time since 12/1/22. I have tried EVERYTHING and spoke to EVERYONE!!! When I got home,  it stopped syncing again.

I'm so aggravated.

Nothing you can do until Samsung and Fitbit work this out. Nothing released by them yet to give timelines of when this might be. Enjoy wearing a brick on your arm until then.

Hello,

That’s annoying!

Have you tried resetting your fitbit by pressing the usb connector on the charging cable three times?

Succes!
