Charge 5 won't sync anymore

The problem with syncing my Fitbit seemed to start when the app switched from Fitbit to google! Is this a coincidence?

 I am going to change to an Apple Watch.

Regarding your inquiry, please note that Google being part of Fitbit now does not have to do with the syncing issues you're experiencing. 

As a first approach, I'd recommend checking if your mobile device meets the requirements to properly operate with your Fitbit device. For more information, see Fitbit Compatible Devices.

In addition, please confirm if you've tried all the steps provided here Why won't my Fitbit device sync? in the order listed.

Our Charge 5 is consistently  loosing  Sync..with App and Phone..

This issues has postings going back 3 years and what is the definitive  Fix ??????
