My Fitbit is no longer tracking my steps, health statistics and the time showing is incorrect. I’ve tried to reset the time in settings but not succeeded. I’ve only had it since September 2023

Hi there, @Hockeyjockey. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. It's sad to hear that your Charge 5 is not syncing nor showing the correct time. Thanks for trying to solve these issues before posting here. I will do my best to help you!

As a first approach, please note that the time will be wrong if your Charge 5 hasn't synced recently as your Fitbit device uses the time of the device you're syncing with. To make sure your Fitbit device has recently synced, go to your Fitbit app and tap the Today tab, and then tap Devices.

If your Charge 5 has not synced or you found out it's been unpaired from your account, that would explain the wrong time and all the data that is not syncing to your Fitbit app. With that being said, I'd recommend trying the following:

  • Unpair your Fitbit device from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Fitbit device.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Fitbit device.
  • Once your Fitbit device is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Charge 5 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.
