fitbit 5 will not sync in windows 11

@MehSE   Yes, you can do this.  She logs out of her account one her phone, then you log in and sync.  Whenever you log in to a new device, the app will ask you if you want notifications.  Say no, or you might get her notifications.  Your Charge 5 stores seven days of detailed data, so you don't need to sync every day.  I'm not a PC user, but if your laptop is running Windows 10, you might be able to sync with your laptop.  You can't set up a Charge 5 on a laptop, but users say they can sync a device that is set up.  You need to download the Fitbit app for Windows 10 from the Microsoft Store.

Hi @fuzzy378  how did you set up? These devices are made to sync with our smartphones.

Stepping in the U.S.A. since September 2013. Android 14

My phone has android 7 and I think that the phone has to be at least android 10.  According to instructions I could go to fitbit connect to use a computer but have not had any success.

Thanks for the details provided and your efforts while working on this. Please let me explain that the Charge 5 was optimized to work with Android phones, iPhone or iPad. While it's not possible to sync with Windows 10 or Windows 11 devices, I'd recommend borrowing a compatible mobile device from a friend or family member to complete the set up process and take advantage of its features. If you want to learn more about your tracker, I'd recommend reviewing the User Manual.

@LizzyFitbit my phone is getting repaired, so I'm without it for likely about 3 weeks since I'm overseas (ship to the US, fix, then ship back - dangit!).  My wife has a Fitbit Charge 5 like me and of course her own account.  Is it possible for me to "borrow her compatible device", as you suggested, and sync my Charge 5 with my account using her phone?  I don't know how I'd do that...

Thank you.  My first thought was to sync through my Windows laptop, but I guess that's not an option.

Thank you @LZeeW .  After going through a lot of hassle disabling 2FA (requires a phone and your recovery code, even if it's someone else's phone, btw), I was able to login on Windows 10 and sync my Fitbit Charge 5.  I *REALLY* appreciate you pointing me down that path.

@LizzyFitbit Kindly please update your post above and make sure your internal notes are updated too; they are out of date.  You absolutely can sync a Fitbit through the Windows app.

@MehSE I'm glad your tracker was able to sync correctly and thanks for trying the suggestions shared in this thread. While some users may be able to sync with Windows devices, please note the Charge 5 was optimized to work only with Android and iOS devices. For this reason we recommend using a compatible device in order to take advantage of all its features. Once you've synced, you can check your details either at fitbit.com or on the Windows laptop.
