Hi there, @Clahmani. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums and trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Charge 5 before reaching out.

In addition to the steps you've done, please try the following in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Charge 5 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Charge 5.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Charge 5.
  • Once your Charge 5 is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Charge 5 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

Hi there, @Area51Sid. Welcome on board. Thanks for following the tips and recommendations I've provided above.

To better assist you, may I know the model of the phone you're syncing with? Are you getting any error message in the Fitbit app? In the meantime, please confirm that you've also tried all troubleshooting steps provided here Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

@Area51Sid I'm glad to hear your Charge 5 is syncing now. We‘re taking your comments and sentiments in regards to our products into consideration.

Regarding your sleep data, the sleep times might have been due to the syncing issue you were experiencing. With that being said, I
'd recommend to sync your Charge 5 to the app after waking up. This will help to make sure that all your data is sync properly.

Also, note that your time asleep is calculated by subtracting your time spent awake and restless from your overall tracked sleep time. For example, if you slept 8 hours but woke up 2 times for 15 minutes each, your time asleep would be 7 hr 30 min.

To learn more about your time asleep in sleep stages, see What should I know about Fitbit sleep stages?

Edit or delete sleep logs in the Fitbit app. For instructions, see How do I add, edit, or delete Fitbit data and activities?

Yes that was the problem because it would not sync straight away it made or gave me a wrong sleeping time ! I hope it improves otherwise it’s not worth keeping the watch ! I like to monitor my sleep because I have certain health issues !
