Hi!
I’m from Mexico City and have a Charge 5 Fitbit. About two weeks ago I noticed that the time on the App doesn’t match with the actual time zone. All te activities registered on the App, such as sleeping, exercise, etc. are registered one hour ahead but in my device the time is the correct one according to Mexico City time zone. Can anyone tell me how do I fix this issue?
Thank you!

Hi, @aurora.suarezg , I would like to update my answer to you, as I have learned that Mexico no longer operates DST but Fitbit’s database does not yet reflect this. In this case you may need to manually set your timezone to a region that has the same (correct) time as Mexico. You can do this in the app. From the Today screen click on the person icon/photo top left to go to the account screen. On the account screen choose “App settings” and then “automatic timezone” . Toggle this to “off” and choose a different timezone that has the right time for your country.
This issue has been reported to Fitbit so hopefully it will be fixed soon, but in the meantime this workaround should solve the issue.

Hi @aurora.suarezg, If the device time is right but the app is wrong, you may need to adjust the setting on the the web based program rather than in the app. To do this, while you are logged in to the Community, click on “Dashboard” on the top right hand side of each page. From the dashboard click on the right hand side on the gear icon to go to the settings section. There scroll down to timezone and set it correctly there. Hopefully that will fix the timing in your app.
Please let us know if this works for you.

Thanks, @Julia_G @but unfortunately this option didn’t work 😞 when I choose a different time zone on the App, automatically the time change as well on my Fitbit device… hope Fitbit will fix the issue soon!

Hi, @aurora.suarezg , you need to choose a different timezone that has the same time as the current time in Mexico so that it will be correct in both your app and your Fitbit

Hi @Julia_G! I have tried this but did not work. When I change the time zone in the App, the time on my Fitbit device change as well and doesn’t match with the actual time in Mexico City 😞

I just took a trip from Texas to Monterrey and discovered the same problem. My workaround was this: in the Fitbit app on my phone, I went to Account > App Settings, then turned off Automatic Time Zone and Automatic Location. I then manually changed the time zone from "(GMT-5) Monterrey" to "(GMT-6) Mazatlan." Then I backed out of Settings and synchronized my Fitbit. This successfully updated the time on my watch, and I just reversed the steps at the end of my travels. Hope that helps.
