Charge 5 won't vibrate when receiving notifications

I was not receiving notifications from my phone. I deleted my charge 5 from my phone's Fitbit app and had the Bluetooth on my phone forget my Charge 5 Device. I've rebooted my Fitbit device. I then set up the charge 5 in my fit bit app again and reconnected the Bluetooth. I am now receiving text notifications, but without vibration. I have the always vibrate option turned on. And the "send a test call notification" option sends nothing to my device.

Any thoughts?

Hi there, @JenF01. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 is still not vibrating when receiving notifications. I will do my best to help you with this!

As a first approach, I'd recommend checking if your Charge 5 is in sleep mode. When sleep mode is on:

  • Notifications, goal celebrations, and reminders are muted.
  • The screen's brightness is set to dim.
  • The screen stays dark when you turn your wrist. To wake your tracker, firmly tap the screen twice.
  • The sleep mode icon illuminates in quick settings.

If the above doesn't help, please see Why didn't my Fitbit device alert me?
