It happened to me too, bad wristbands. I don’t recommend Charge 5. Less than 6 months of use and is defective and the worst part if they return me another wristband the warranty doesn’t extend but is just what is left.
last time I would purchase Fitbit. It happened the same with Charge 2, wristband cracks and the screen turns white
