After my Charge 4 stopped working, the lovely people of Fitbit sent me a Charge 5. That was quite an upgrade, except that it keeps falling off. I have tried different wristbands to no avail.

If the bands that came with your Charge 5 don't stay on, that could indicate an issue with the latching mechanism.
The tab that you use to remove the band should lock in place when you attach the band to it so that a firm tug doesn't release the band. The tab should be right up against the black section on the back without any gaps. I push on the tab to make sure it's locked, if it doesn't automatically lock in place when I attach one end of the band.
If the original band doesn't lock in place, you should contact Fitbit support and let them know. I've read posts from users who didn't follow through with support about the latching mechanism and lost their device.

Hi! Thank you for the reply. It is the original waistband, and it keeps falling off from just wearing it, and not tight at all. I guess that contacting Fitbit support is the way to go forward, but how? It used to be simple, but now I cannot find any contact info. From Norway, btw.
