New app update doesn't show battery level anymore - not good

Indeed. However if you tap the left-hand icon at the top, then tap the device it says battery "full", "medium" or "low". Still not nearly as helpful but at least you can get an idea.

Thanks, still prefer the old version, this doesn't seem to be an
improvement
