I used a Charge4 for over 2 years. It measured heartbeat, calories, steps and floors accurately. The display was weak, but I tolerated it. When it broke (physically - band contact broke off the watch) I was happy to see charge5 had an upgraded display. However, the 2 things I expect a smartwatch to do are: 1) Measure accurately (heart rate, steps, calories, etc) and Display them clearly on the device. Charge 5 does not do either! My heart rate often displays 20 to 30 beats higher than actual, doesn’t auto start on any exercise, measures steps inaccurately, doesn’t recognize flights of stairs…..and the choices of possible displays are not really what I prefer to see. I need heart rate and total calories. The rest is a bonus.
The bottom line, it is TOTALLY INACCURATE and therefore TOTALLY USELESS. Unfortunately I discarded the box and purchased it via an Amazon vendor, so I threw away $150! I will never buy another Fitbit product again!

You might want to check some of your settings. I've been using the Charge 5 for well over a year. Measures all you mentioned accurately and displays them on my device. I don't track stairs, so that's not an issue.
