My step count has remained at 0 in my friends list since upgrading to a Charge 5.

Thank you for all the details that you've shared about this inconvenience with your Charge 5. 

If you're still having trouble with the app not showing you the correct number of steps on the friends list, please try the following: 

  • Log out from the app.
  • Clear Cache for the Fitbit app on your phone's settings (Settings > Apps > Fitbit app > Storage > Clear cache)
  • Restart your phone. 
  • Log back in to check if you're able to see the tile. 
  • Uninstall and reinstall the app, as this has been useful for other users experiencing something similar. 
  • Try to set up your Charge 5 as a new device in your account if you're still having the same problem. 

In addition, you can also check the following settings: 

  • From your phone's Fitbit app, tap your profile picture to access the settings.
  • Scroll down past "set up a device" and go to Social and Sharing.
  • Under Privacy, changed Average Daily Steps to allow friends to see it.
