Connecting Phone as a tracker and the Charge 5

Hi! If I connect my phone as a device and tracker in itself and my Charge 5 on the Fitbit App will the phone info sync or double up my stats? The good thing about adding my phone as a device is that my mindfulness activities outside the Fitbit App should be recognised as Mindfulness minutes.

The purpose of phone as a Fitbit device is to count your steps on your phone only when you are not wearing your Fitbit, then transfer that count to your Fitbit.  If it is working right, it should do nothing else.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Hi, @AnneLovesCats , mindfulness data from your phone will not transfer as mindfulness minutes in your Fitbit app even if your phone is added as a device.

If you add your phone as a device as well as the Charge 5 it should not duplicate your steps even if you are wearing your Fitbit and carrying your phone at the same time.  However, as @JohnnyRow implies there can be occasional glitches.  If there are any glitches you can delete the incorrect data as explained in this help article .
