Hi,
My app notifications disappear after a few minutes on my brand new Charge 5 whether I have read them or not.
I thought it was supposed to store up to 10 messages, but app notifications are not stored and 'Nothing new' appears after several minutes when I swipe left on the tracker to 'notifications' even though there was and were not deleted.
Text notifications and calls do not disappear.
Does anyone else have this problem?
------------------
Just me then.
I spoke to help today and they said it is normal for messages to disappear:
"Agent: Alejandra O.: It's normal that the notifications are resetting over the day."
Seems odd to me, but if they program it that way then hey ho.
He did agree they shouldn't disappear before reading it though and he took me through a few steps to fix it in case anyone else has this problem:
notifications off
bluetooth off
restart phone and watch
put everything back on - note, you have to individually turn all notifications back on so make sure you re-tick everything
So far so good. I sent myself an Alexa message and it is still there after 15 mins 👍

Hi, thank you for sharing all this information about what you've been experiencing with your Charge 5, @blueeagle.
The notifications do disappear as new ones come in, but they definitely should not disappear before you read them, as the Support team mentioned. It's great to know that you have not been experiencing this problem after the steps suggested. Thank you for sharing the troubleshooting steps that worked out for you, I'm sure it will be useful for other users as well.
Let me know in case you experience this problem again.
Have a great day.

Hi,
Thank you. Just to clear up any confusion, my watch is not getting to 10 messages stored and deleting the old ones, it is deleting them when it is the only one in there or maximum three messages.
Could I ask if you can tell me what the Charge 5 is supposed to do with incoming messages under what circumstances just so I don't think I have a faulty watch? I admit to being a little confused how it decides on what to keep and for how long.
Many Thanks in advance.

@blueeagle Thank you for sharing this update about your notifications.
As you mentioned earlier, the Charge 5 should be storing up to 10 notifications, after which the oldest are replaced as you receive new ones. If your device is still only storing 1-3 notifications, please try to complete the restart again using the charging cable:
If you continue to have the same problem, you can also try to disable the notifications completely and then set up notifications again.
I'll be around.

Thank you @DavideFitbit . I won't do that as after going through the restart procedure (the first time I got help) it started storing unread messages just fine and I don't want to upset the apple cart. I did some tests and it is now just deleting read messages - either read on the watch or read on the phone, which is why I wasn't getting to 10 stored messages. I tried not reading any and it did store 10 👍. I think this is fair enough as if you want to look at old read messages you can look on your phone.
