Didn’t find a way to express my disappointment in the Charge 5, so…. I ‘upgraded’ from a Charge 3.
New device does not offer the functionality of the earlier version - probably my own fault because I didn’t check that it still counted stairs, but then, you tend to assume that new models do what earlier ones did and then some.
But no, it doesn’t seem to track sleep very well - many nights it fails to record more than half of my sleep, and on occasions seems to think I worked the night shift.
But it’s often hard to tell what it’s recorded because it won’t sync with the app (on an iPhone) unless I switch the Bluetooth off and on again. And sometimes I need to reset the device as well before the two things talk.
And Premium is of slight interest to me because of the enhanced (or whatever) sleep analysis - but if that’s your interest also, I wouldn’t worry, it doesn’t seem to tell you much more than the standard analysis.
what makes it more frustrating is coming here and finding that I’m not the only one feeling rather disappointed and that what I presume are support people either trotting out references to the manual, confirming that the hardware is less capable than the previous version or advising users to submit suggestions to the development team. Here’s a suggestion - make it work!

Great news - I've solved the problem.
I took it back today and got my money back.

From my own experience, seems like Charge 4 is the best version, Charge 5 is quite unreliable and doesn't offer a lot more than Charge 4 except the screen. Mine stopped working since yesterday after trying to install the new firmware, very bad product! 😤

I’ve had problems syncing since purchasing a few weeks ago. I’ve spent 3-4 different times to troubleshoot through chat. I was told it would be escalated and to expect an email. That was over a week ago. I’m extremely disappointed in the product and the service (or lack thereof!)

My Charge 5 didn't sync every time but do sync eventually; a lot of the time I find, it depends on the strength of internet connection. Somehow the Charge 4 seems more reliable that way, or maybe just bad design or quality control? 🙄

From browsing through the forum, seems like there are a lot of problems witb the Charge 5, probably lots of lemons around due to quality control, maybe return it for a new one?
