ECG disappeared on Charge 5

I've had my Charge 5 for a few weeks now. It initially had the ECG feature on the watch, and I was able to sync it to the app with no issue.

However, as of today, my Charge 5 suddenly doesn't have an ECG feature anymore.

Kindly advise me on how I could get the feature back on my watch

Hi, welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @Sahhh

I appreciate the information provided about this issue with the Charge 5.

Could you please confirm if you're currently traveling abroad and in what country are you located at the moment? This feature is not available in some countries and I've seen that it gets automatically deactivated when a person travels to a place where the ECG feature hasn't been authorized by the local institutions. You can check this list too see all countries where it's currently available.

If you haven't travelled anywhere, please give a try to the following steps:

  1. Uninstall the ECG app from your Charge 5.
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app and restart your tracker.
  3. Open the Fitbit app and pull down on the screen to force a manual sync.
  4. Install the ECG app one more time and make sure the permissions are enabled.
  5. Tap Discover > Assessments & Reports > Heart Rhythm Assessment to double check if still appears completed
  6. Try taking a reading one more time and let me know how it goes.

I'll be around.
