Excercise tracking on charge 5

How do I change the exercises listed on my tracker- charge 5? For example, I'd like to add pilates and remove swimming. Tried going through the app but can only seem to remove the automatic recording of certain excercises rather than changing the list that appears on the tracker

Hi, @Kirstyw , on your Fitbit app, on the opening screen, click on the little person photo/icon top left to take you to the account screen.

from the account screen click on your device (Charge 5). On the next screen scroll down to find “Exercise shortcuts” and click on that.

At this point the instructions are very slightly different depending on whether you are on iOS or Android.

On iOS the exercise shortcuts screen will show you the preloaded shortcut.  Click “edit” top right of the screen.  On the next screen click on the exercise you would like to delete (Swim).  The delete option will appear.  Choose that and click on “done”.

The next screen will allow you to add a shortcut - click on the option to add and choose “Pilates” from the built in list.  Click done, and be sure to sync.  Once you have synced, Pilates will be an available shortcut on your Charge 5 replacing swimming.

If you are using Android the instructions are almost the same.  From the account screen choose Charge 5 and scroll to “Exercise shortcuts”   Click on the one you want to remove (Swim) and swipe left.  Once an exercise is deleted you will see a plus + sign top right to indicate that you can now add an exercise.  Click on the plus, and choose Pilates from the drop down list and select “add to Charge 5”

The final step is to make sure you sync your Fitbit so all changes in your app are reflected on your device.

This sounds complicated because I have written out every step in detail and I have given instructions for two operating systems.  But in reality it is just a few taps on your phone and it is all done and you will be ready to track your Pilates sessions.

Please do post again if anything is unclear.

Hello @Kirstyw and welcome to the Community.  Please follow this path.  Tap on your profile avatar > Charge 5 > Exercise shortcuts.  Your shortcut list is full by default, so you must remove one to add another.  Look for the Edit button and tap it.  Remove anything you don’t use.  It’s been a while since I did this, but I think you need to back up a step to get to your list.  Now the + Shortcut will be blue and you can add the things you want.  If you’re on the screen with the “hamburgers” on the right, you can drag and drop them to your desired order.
