FITBIT CHARGE 5 INNACURATE HEART RATE

I have a new fitbit charge 5 and the heart rate isnt close to being correct.  I have done a hard restart 5 times and still the rate is way way way off.  I bought this thing since I have a heart condition.

Im about to return it.

Anyone have an answer as to how to fix this?

I have to say I am also considering returning. The four model recorded my heart rates and displayed them more accurately, particularly during a swim is when I need it. It will show the general circle of zone minutes and say for example 10 minutes of yellow and 35 of orange . I think I'll go back to the four as this did do this feature.

I’m thinking about returning mine too. No heart rate at all today and says I used only 20 calories for a 30 minute aerobics!  Something is seriously messed up on this version of the Charge. Both my 3 & 4 were better than this

I was thinking about returning and asking for the 4 model instead. However upon contemplation I am thinking the problem may actually be with the updated app and not with the watches themselves. Just food for thought.
