Faulty Device, No Resolution - Advice Needed

Does anyone have any helpful advice for me?  My Charge 5 is just 7 months old and most stats are now incorrect, the heart monitor being the main problem.  If it 'works', it's telling me my heart rate is 160ish bpm while I'm at rest.  I don't make that running uphill...  I've now made three calls to the helpline and after multiple resets, just been sent a link to a generic help page.  Has anyone managed to actually get a replacement or refund?  What did it take?!

@HamsterB did you buy it from a store or directly from Fitbit? If you bought it from a store, just go back to them, show that it doesn't work and ask to return it.
