Not a fan, don't see the point. It's big, bulky, straps have an odd texture, and screen displays are garish. It doesn't do anything my inspire hr doesn't do. Except I can do the tap and pay thing or upload my sugar level, if I have the data. Everything else is just a premium feature. The notification come up on top of everything else, so you have to go through all of those before seeing the time. So had to turn them off. Can't find the alarms on the app to set them. Doesn't do stairs. If it wasn't a Christmas present and I had bought it myself. I would definitely return it .

Hi, welcome to the Community forums, @Sje1000.
Thank you for all the feedback you've shared about the new Charge 5.
I noticed a few ideas posted in the forums about the Charge 5. If you have a specific idea to implement for this model or to improve any of the features available, I would recommend that you post this idea in the Feature Suggestion board of the Community, since this section is regularly monitored by the team of developers. Make sure to post your idea including as many details as possible.
Regarding the problem to find the option to set the alarms, let me know if you're referring to the Fitbit app on the phone or if you can't see the option to set them up on the Alarms app on the device itself.
About the altimeter option, unfortunately this device does not include the option to track floors, as you mentioned. The Charge 5 includes many of the features available with Fitbit smartwatches at a more accessible price, but the option to track floors wasn't included with this specific device. You can find all the features available with this tracker on the Charge 5 Product Manual and on the Fitbit Store.
Thank you again for taking the time to share all your feedback.
I'll be around.

I bought Charge 5 for my wife for Christmas. She has used previous Fitbit models for years. The Charge 5 has proven to be a major source of frustration for her. Nothing is consistent about the settings or usage. Screen sometimes comes on when moving arm, sometimes it doesn't. She tries setting alarms and gets a different result each time (and she does the same things each time)--sometimes no alarms set, sometimes one time alarm becomes a daily alarm, sometimes the Charge 5 gives green checkmark and shows alarm for a few minutes and then just drops the alarm, sometimes she sets alarm when going to bed and charge 5 shows alarms before she goes to sleep and then overnight the alarm disappears. Many other problems too numerous to detail. Fully frustrated with charge 5 and Fitbit being able to screw up alarms and downgrading features.
Don't buy a Charge 5!

I can't speak for the features you thought were going to come with the Charge 5 since the specs explain what it does and doesn't do, but as far as the sporadic issues.. my husband had some issues last week with his and he did a reset through settings on the tracker. it has been working pretty well since then. I would give that a try..

@Sje1000 Thank you for sharing your feedback about the Charge 5 and its features.
Unfortunately not all ideas can be implemented right away and some features take more time to be included than others, but it's always useful for the team of developers to see how many users are interested in this. Please know that all your comments and feedback are greatly appreciated and the team continues to working to improve que quality of products and services.
@gee66 Thank you for your feedback as well and for all the information provided about the problems you've been experiencing with the screen and the alarms. Before considering other options, please let me know if you already tried the three pulse restart method described here below:
Let me know if you continue to experience the same behavior with the alarms and the display.
I'll be around.

Hi, thank you for sharing your feedback about the Charge 5.
@Sje1000 I'm sorry to see that you had to return your device due to some of these inconveniences, but it's good to know that you've had a good experience with the Charge 4 so far.
@gee66 Thank you for all the information provided about this. The team is aware of this problem that other users have reported with the alarms not always working and they are working to identify a resolution as quickly as possible. This is not an issue exclusive of the Charge 5, since other users with different devices have experienced this behavior.
If you already exhausted all the troubleshooting options mentioned earlier, you can also get in touch with the Customer Support team for further assistance with this. Click here to get connected.
