Fitbit 5 Premium scam - anyone else

Has anyone else experienced this?

I purchased the new Fitbit 5 because my old Fitbit wore out (it was time, no complaints there).  I purchased it on preorder, and it arrived about a month after my order, which I expected.  With the purchase came a 6 month subscription to Fitbit Premium.  However, when I received my Fitbit and activated Premium, it actually only gave me 5 months.  It started my subscription not from the time I received the Fitbit and not from the time I activated it, but from the time I ORDERED it, even though they weren't even ready to ship.

I reached out to Fitbit support and was told that I could have been using Premium all along (this was news to me, and impossible anyway because my old Fitbit had worn out).  They then added that once Premium is activated, Premium “can’t be adjusted" which is clearly not true...give them more money and I bet they can extend your membership...so clearly it can be "adjusted".

Look, I survived two or three previous Fitbits without Premium and I know this isn't the biggest deal - I'm more annoyed that they promise one thing, deliver something less and then dig in their heels when you ask about it.  Given that it doesn't cost them anything it seems like a ridiculous line in the sand for them to draw - piss off a regular, loyal customer for literally no reason.  Instead, they are penalizing someone for pre-ordering....the same people they should instead be rewarding and catering to.

This is extremely disappointing and feels like a bait and switch.  I would have been fine if they didn't offer any Premium at all...but if you DO include it with your product, you should deliver what you say you will.

So I'll repeat - has anyone else had this issue, and did you have any better luck than I did in fixing it?

This happened to me too. "Premium" started the day I placed my preorder. I had a Charge 2, so I couldn't take advantage of some of the "Premium" features.  So I'm in your shoes, in effect 5 months of "Premium.". Oh, well...

just double checked my account, pre-ordered about a month ago, and looks like I got 6 months from when the 5 arrived and premium was activated (I had a charge 4 previously)

I've just received my charge5 today 27th & I went to the fitbit app on my android & the trial period was only for 90 days (3months) but you had to subscribe before you could start your free trial, so at the moment I have only 3 months free I'm waiting to hear back from Fitbit.
