I had a Charge 2 and since June (almost 9 months) the app had not been tracking sleep correctly. Sometimes would show partial sleep for the night, sometimes no sleep, but stopped sleep stages/score altogether. I had tried all the usual (restarts, firmware, app update, sensitivity, full charge, changing wrist, higher position, etc) with no difference. I finally decided maybe after 7 years that it was time for an upgrade.
So I bought a Charge 5. After the first night the app still did not track sleep. I checked forums again and additionally tried to delete the partial log and Add Sleep with times for when I went to bed and when I got up. It analyzed and gave me the full record. Sleep stages and score too! Out of curiosity I tried it for the previous night which had been with the Charge 2, and it gave the correct results again.
I tested this the next few nights and again, and no sleep or partial sleep with no stages or score. Deleting and adding and it was accurate again. This leads me to believe that it is a problem with the APP detecting sleep, not the wearable. How can I fix it to automatically detect, or will a new software version be necessary?
