Dear Fitbit Support Team,
I purchased a Fitbit Charge 5 eight months ago, and it has been working fine until recently. It stopped registering the distance during my runs and walks. I followed the troubleshooting steps, but unfortunately, they didn't resolve the issue.
Last week, a red cross in a white circle appeared on the screen. I tried resetting the device, and while it did reset, the watch now turns off every hour, indicating that the battery is at 1%. Even after charging it to 70%, an hour later, the device notifies me that it needs charging, showing the battery at 5%.
My watch is still under warranty, and I would like to know what can be done to resolve this issue. Note that I have purchased the watch while on vacation in Australia, and I live in Mauritius.
Thank you very much for your assistance.
Best regards,

Hi, @Sachdaf, welcome to the community, this is a community board where volunteers like myself & moderators assist Fitbit users to resolve problems they may have. To resolve the "Distance" issue go to the Fitbit app "Today" screen>touch your icon> Fitbit settings>exercise>stride length. turn off the "set automatically" slider. This is a reported issue and is, we understand, being attended to. Your experience with the battery does not look good, your best way forward will be to reach out to "Customer Support", work through the steps to number 3 and opt for the chat facility or the phone for prompt attention.
I hope this helps.
Cheers
