Fitbit Charge 5 Time Is Now Incorrect

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My wonderful journey with Fitbit continues..

The time is about an hour and a half off the correct time. It was fine before but I woke up one day and it was wrong.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Any help would be most appreciated 🙂

Have you synched with your phone?

Is the time on you phone correct?

Is the Timezone correct in your profile?

Hello @mitchel66

Your Charge 5 should be getting the time from your phone, which is why @gdio53 is asking about the time on your phone and when you last synced your Fitbit with your phone.

You might want to confirm that you have Automatic time zone and Automatic location enabled in the Fitbit app. To check:

  • Tap on your picture/icon (Android) or gear icon (iOS) in the upper right of the Today page
  • Tap on Fitbit settings
  • Tap on App settings
  • Confirm Automatic time zone and Automatic location are turned on & the time zone is correct. If not, you can correct it from this page.
  • Tap on the arrows in the upper left to get back to the Today page and do a manual sync

This should update the time on your Fitbit. If not, some users have had to turn off Automatic time zone & location. They change it to something else, perform a manual sync, then go back and re-enable Automatic time zone & Automatic location, followed by a manual sync.

Hopefully, this will get your Charge 5 back to showing the correct time.

If you can still return it to the retailer, do it. The problems will only get worse and customer support is worthless.
