My FC5 is **ahem**ed up as well after firmware update the fitibit logo of death shows briefly and dies right after. No matter what I try to do , with the 3 buttons press on the physicall usb cable connected doesn't change anything. Only thing it happens is the quick appearance of the fitbit log tat lasts for only 1 second or so and then complete darkness... I was a loyaly customer since the first fitbits but now it's clear google is forcing my hand to move somewhere else to find my new smartwatch.

I’m having a similar issue except I’m not getting the Fitbit logo, just a white screen!! Started about an hour ago. I have no idea if it got the new firmware update or not but all attempts to restart it have failed.

My FC5 buzzed itself to death last night and today no matter what I tried, the screen is black. After two incredibly frustrating Fitbit customer service calls, I think I am done with Fitbit too. They said, after I prompted them, that Charge 5s have known software issues. Why let customers purchase a crap product in the first place and worse, not offer repairs or replacement with a working product?

As is mine.
I was asleep in bed at the time, so probably nothing that I did!
Also tried the "hard" reboot option to no avail. Interestingly, it does vibrate after each of the three button presses, so there is some sort of interaction happening. Just not anything of any remote use.
Think I might wait out the battery, see what happens.

Same here. Fitbit is sending me a new charge 5, but the way things are going at Fitbit I would rather get a refund.
