My Fitbit charge 5 screen blacked out. Even after trying to charge, trying to pulse start (reboot), it doesn't start at all. There is no indication of it charging as well.

It's just been a year and a half since I bought this. I don't have warranty but that doesn't mean the device will work only for an year.

Look through the posts in this community. Many, many others are having the exact same problem, all within the last couple weeks, after an update. Yet all fitbit does is direct you to take actions like restarting that do absolutely nothing to fix the problem. Then they direct you to customer service which says oops, looks like you're out of warranty UT here's a coupon code to buy a new one, completely ignoring the fact that the companies update tanked all of our units. It is an absolutely unacceptable company practice to not take responsibility for a faulty update that tanked everyone's device. But that's all fitbit is doing. It's ridiculous.
