Fitbit Charge 5 not tracking

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Charge 5 ran out of battery. I charged it to 99%. Since then it hasn’t tracked my sleep, heart or steps.

I have tried restarting on the charger and also turning off app and downloading from App Store again. Very frustrating.

Hi @Hlnl, thanks for stopping by, I hope you're doing well.

Let me help you with your sleep heart and steps. Thank you for trying some troubleshooting prior to post in the community.

First ensure your device is syncing to the fitbit app on your mobile. If you are having trouble syncing your device, follow our troubleshooting steps listed in our help article Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

Since heart rate is important data to track sleep, make sure your HR settings a properly adjusted. Swipe down from the clock screen and open the Settings app. Swipe up to check the full list of settings, and tap heart rate to adjust it.

Hello
It’s now not really working at all. It synced after I did all the restarts.
Then a couple of hours later the “low battery” warning came on. I had
charged it to 99% last night.
I plugged it in to charge and the screen starting flashing on and off in a
strange green light and then suddenly stopped working.
It’s now plugged in and shows on that app that it’s charging but the actual
watch thing isn’t going on at all.
It’s just black.
I just tried to restart using the little button on the end of the cable. It
made the small vibration it always makes but nothing else. It seems quite
dead.
Thank you for your reply. Any ideas or do I need a new device?
