Can I use an Amazon 9W, 1.8 power adapter to charge my Charge 5 from the wall outlet? I'm moving to Japan, and I will not have a computer with USB ports for a few months.

Here is the link to the Kindle wall charger: Amazon.com: Amazon 9W Official OEM USB Charger and Power Adapter for Fire Tablets, Kindle eReaders, ...

Hello @EzraVasq and welcome to the Community.  The power adapter in your link says it has a micro-USB port.  You need one with a USB-A port.  That being said, the electricity in Japan is 100 volts, so your adapter needs a 100-240 volt range.  The prongs in Japan are just like those in your link -- two equally shaped prongs, not the polarized arrangement on US plugs.  My daughter and son in law lived in Okinawa for three years.  They are iPhone users and charged their Fitbits with their iPhone power blocks.
