Fitbit not syncing and sleep data gone

Hi.  My Fitbit 5 is not syncing consistently.  And when it does, the sleep data disappears.  I’ve logged out and in and deleted app, restarted my phone and still an issue.  Worked last night, same issue as yesterday. ☹️

Hi, welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @Kimmier13

Thanks for sharing this information about the issue with your Charge 5 and all the troubleshooting steps that you already tried.

Let me know if you continue to experience the same problem to sync your data. There was an outage a few days ago affecting some Fitbit services, but this should be resolved and you should now be able to sync. You can find more information about this issue here

There appears that there is still an issue with sleep data syncing correctly. Mine hasn't since the outage of a few days ago and I have done all the troubleshooting. Reading through the other forums suggests there are many others who have done the same things and are still having issues. Id say FitBit is have issues rather than it being a wearer issue and it needs to be checked.

My Charge 5 isn't syncing either, the app registers the amount of charge on device, but no data synched from yesterday (Sat) or today.

@Daisy1972 @Tuckett31 Thanks for all the information provided so far.

It appears that some users continued to experience the same issues a few days later. Let me know if the issue persists or if it's been resolved.

If your device still isn't syncing, please try the following steps that have been useful for other users:

  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn Bluetooth off and on.
  • Open the Fitbit app and sync again

In addition, I recommend that you try restarting the device using the three pulse restart method:

  1. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times (end of the USB cable), pausing for 1 second between presses. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.

If you're still having any issues, let me know if you already tried all the steps listed here to resolve syncing problems, and make sure to check the compatibility requirements listed here and to keep the Fitbit app updated to the latest version available.

I have the same issue. Syncing stops, then goes infrequently. Stopped again today. Ugh!

Thanks for confirming that you've been having a similar issue with your Charge 5.

Before considering other options, could you please confirm if you already tried all the steps mentioned here earlier? Make sure to check the compatibility requirements as well.
